Caring for your tools

Most of what we sell is dishwasher-safe — but a quick hand-wash keeps edges sharp and finishes bright for longer. Here's the short version, by material.

Stainless steel — dishwasher-safe. Dry it rather than leaving it to air-dry, and skip the steel wool; a soft sponge is plenty.

Silicone — dishwasher-safe and heat-safe. If it ever holds onto a smell, a soak in warm water with a little baking soda clears it.

Glass — dishwasher-safe. Let it reach room temperature before it meets a hot pan or cold water; tempered glass is tough, but sudden swings are the one thing it doesn't love.

Wood & bamboo — hand-wash and towel-dry, never the dishwasher. A rub of food-safe oil every month or so keeps it from drying out.

Cotton (our tees and aprons) — machine-wash cold, tumble dry low.

Every product page lists the exact material and its care, so you never have to guess.
